Quad City CERT is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Employer Identification Number: 26-2192213. All donations can be considered a tax-exempt, charitable contribution.

Alerts - Our Fire Departments are in touch with the proper authorities to determine the health needs of our communities regarding Swine Flu (H1N1). We have not been activated or put on alert yet, but we are requesting that you locate your CERT Kit, I.D. Badge, vest and needed supplies like rubber gloves and a surgical mask. Please stock your kit with these items and have it readily available just in case. There is a swine flu hotline set up at 440.324.3177. Please direct any questions or concerns you or your neighbors have to this number. We will keep you informed as the situation develops.

Last Minute News

The recently introduced Special Task Team is moving forward! We have begun the implementation of background checks. You can schedule a Web Check by calling Brooklyn Hts. Community Services office at (216) 739-3702. You will need your Drivers License, Quad City CERT Badge and a check made out to the City of Independence for $22 or cash. (Price subject to change in the future.) Your social security number is needed. Please keep in mind that if the system cannot capture your fingerprints, you may still have to set an appointment with the IPD to have your prints ink rolled.
