September 2010 is the seventh annual National Preparedness Month. This awareness month is sponsored by the Ready Campaign in partnership with Citizen Corps and the Ad Council. This year’s focus is on encouraging everyone to work together to take action toward emergency preparedness. We are encouraging all interested people to join Quad City CERT and truly help themselves, their neighbors, and their communities be Ready; to prepare for and respond to emergencies, including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks. Last Minute News

The next General Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 9th, 2010. We will have a speaker and will be serving cake and refreshments in recognition of our Volunteers. Please RSVP to (216) 739-3702 or to qcc@brooklynhts.org no later than September 1st. The General Meeting will be held at the Independence Civic Center, in the White Oak Room at 7:00 p.m. All Quad City volunteers are invited and urged to attend!
